Missed out on classes first time round?
Forgotten what labour was like?
Had a Caesarean last time?
Want to meet new people?
If you are on your second (or more) baby and are interested in refresher classes we can offer a course around your needs.
Topics we can cover are sibling rivalry, vaginal birth after a Caesarean, techniques for coping with labour, caring for your pelvic floor & breastfeeding.
We will aim to chose a time to fit in with your childcare needs and class sizes will be small and intimate so that you can freely discuss the issues that concern you most directly.
For more information you can email our Parent Services Bookings Administrator or call her on 0844 243 6081. (Please call at considerate times.) Or to find classes in your local area you can follow this link to the national NCT website and choose the option to search for antenatal classes.
Our teachers and breastfeeding counsellors undergo a thorough training with the NCT although they are not required to be medically qualified. All teachers and counsellors are expected to keep up to date with the latest developments in maternity care and must register with us every year.
Their role is to offer support, information, practical skills and resources to help parents make informed choices for themselves and their babies. They do not offer medical advice, and parents are asked to take any questions about the medical care of mother and baby to their midwife, health visitor or doctor.
